Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the business plan?
We offer a full business analysis including a five year financial statement (monthly profit and loss/cash flow analysis for the first year, and quarterly statements for Years 2-5) a balance sheet, business ratios page, and a breakeven analysis.

The plan also details the marketing, the market in which the business will operate, the owners, the products and services offered, the industry, organizational structure, corporate overview, and a general economic analysis.

Each business plan is roughly 45 to 55 pages depending on the complexity of the business.

How are you able to charge $425 for your services? I have received quotes that are substantially higher.

The way we are able to keep our business plan drafting fees affordable is that, in certain instances, we are able to receive success fees (a percentage of total funds raised). This offsets our business plan drafting costs. We have found that our clients prefer this business model as opposed to large upfront fees.

About 95% of the business plans we write fall into our flat rate program.

Can Deutsch & Thomas, Inc. help us raise money?
Yes. We have the capability to assist you in raising debt capital such as business loans, business lines of credit, commercial mortgages, business acquisition loans, asset loans, and equipment financing/leases. We have access to more than 1,100 lenders (though our third party partners) that can review your business plan (completed by us) and assist you with the loan application.

Does your firm complete business plans for immigration visa applications?

Absolutely. Over the past eleven years, we have developed approximately 400 business plans that are specific for E-2, L-1, and EB-5 visa applications. We can work directly with your attorney to make sure that the business plan is fully appropriate to be presented to USCIS upon its completion.

Additionally, we work with two USCIS approved regional centers in regards to EB-5 projects. If you have not yet selected an immigration attorney to handle your application, we have relationships with law firms in New York, Texas, Arizona, California, and Florida. We are always happy to provide referrals when needed.

Do you have previous customers that I can contact?

Yes, we do. Since 2005, we have completed over 2,400 business plans. If you would like a referral, just let us know so that we can arrange for you to call one of our previous clients.

How long does it take to complete the business plan?
It takes us 7 days to complete the plan. This is measured in calendar days, not business days.

Does your firm do revisions once the business plan is done?
Absolutely. Once we submit the final business plan, you can review it and request what revisions you would like made. Revisions take approximately two to three days to complete. Revisions are done at no extra charge.

Does your firm do business plans for startup businesses or existing business?
Both. We can help you build a business plan to raise startup/expansion capital, or to showcase your existing business to potential buyers.

What about confidentiality regarding our concepts, ideas, and business practices?
Through our terms of service agreement, we fully guarantee your confidentiality regarding your business plan. Our firm will never release any documents to a third party unless you request us to do so. If you have your own confidentiality agreement that you would like us to sign, our CEO will happily do so.

How to you handle billing?
If you would like to pay 50% upfront and 50% upon completion, we can take a debit or credit card payment over the phone. If you would like to pay via a Pay Pal invoice, check, or money order then we require that the full payment is made upfront.
